I'm not a big fan of smoked sausage, but I thought this casserole was still pretty good. The cornbread topping was especially tasty.

The cornbread topping was a little dry. I think I'll add an extra egg to the batter next time.

This casserole was a little bland for my taste. I added some diced jalapenos and a tablespoon of chili powder to spice it up.

I used ground sausage instead of smoked sausage and it was still delicious. I also added a cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the cornbread topping.
