Southern Pea Salad image

This is a party favorite. Guests and kids love this easy pea salad.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 can(s) le sueur very early young tender peas
3 medium hard boiled eggs
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese
1 medium red onion
1 c mayonnaise or miracle whip

Steps:

  • 1. Drain the juice from the peas & pour into bowl.
  • 2. Chop boiled eggs & put in the bowl.
  • 3. Add mayonnaise to bowl. Now is the opportunity to make it yours with flavored mayonnaise.
  • 4. Cut 8oz sharp cheddar cheese into small cubes, or use shredded cheese. Add to bowl.
  • 5. Chop red onion. Add to bowl.
  • 6. Mix all ingredients and refrigerate until ready to serve.
