Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped onion rings into bottom of a 4 quart casserole dish.
- 2. Cook pasta according to package directions;drain and set aside.
- 3. Meanwhile,heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat;add diced red onion and saute 2 minutes.Add beef and cook until browned,breaking up meat with a spoon as it cooks,about 3 to 5 minutes;drain off any fat and set pan back over medium heat.
- 4. Add steak seasoning,oregano,basil and seasoned pepper;stir to coat beef.Stir in steak sauce and bring mixture to a boil;reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 5. Spoon a half amount of beef-onion mixture into a prepared baking dish;top with half of cooked ziti.Next layer with half crumbled blue cheese,layer with remaining beef-onion mixture and remaining ziti and then sprinkle with remaining blue cheese,white american and parmesan cheese and finally top with remaining chopped onion rings.
- 6. Bake until the cheeses are bubbly,about 30 minutes.
