Steps:
- 1. Mix together flour, salt and pepper and dredge meat cubes in mixture.
- 2. In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil and brown beef cubes.
- 3. Place browned beef in the slow cooker.
- 4. Add remaining ingredients except for carrots.
- 5. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
- 6. Add carrots and cook on low 1 1/2 hours or on high for 30 minutes.
- 7. Serve over rice or noodles.
