Texas Caviar image

I've read a lot of different versions of Texas Caviar. So I finally decided to work on my own recipe and make the changes that I wanted. I've made this recipe several times, and everyone has enjoyed it, so I hope you like it as well. It's a super simple recipe, and only takes a little bit of time to make.

I'm not a big fan of black-eyed peas, so I substituted them with chickpeas. It turned out great! I also added some chopped fresh cilantro.

This recipe is a great starting point, but I like to add my own personal touches. I often add some chopped red onion, diced avocado, and a squeeze of lime juice.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my Texas caviar turned out too watery. I think I'll try draining the black-eyed peas and corn more thoroughly next time.

This recipe is a little too bland for my taste. I would add some chopped jalapeƱos or cayenne pepper to give it a little more spice.
