Turkey Sage Sausage Patties image

I like to eat smart-starting with this homemade turkey sausage. If you like garlic, try substituting it for the sage. -Janice Wuertzer, Dubuque, Iowa

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon rubbed sage
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound lean ground turkey
2 teaspoons canola oil

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Crumble turkey over mixture; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into 6 patties. Refrigerate, covered, for 2 hours. , In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add patties; cook until a thermometer reads 165°, 6-7 minutes on each side.
