5 hour oven Beef Stew image

This recipe is easy and delicious, one that my family has enjoyed for years...

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 lb stewing beef
6 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 large bag of baby carrots
1 large onion peeled and quartered
4 stick celery cut into bite size pcs.
2 can(s) stewed tomatoes
minute tapioca
salt & pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees Toss first six ingredients in a roaster pan....then add about 5 palm fulls of tapioca and salt & pepper to taste Toss again and cover Bake for 5 hours and enjoy with some homemade biscuits!
