Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup heavy whipping cream
½ cup confectioners' sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups mascarpone
¾ cup Baileys® Irish Cream, divided
2 cups cold coffee
24 ladyfingers
2 tablespoons cocoa powder, for dusting the top

Steps:

  • In a stand mixer, whip cream to soft peaks. Add in sugar and salt and mix until well combined. Add in the mascarpone and whip until full incorporated. With the mixer still running, add in 1/4 cup Baileys. Set aside.
  • In a shallow dish, mix together coffee and 1/2 cup Baileys. One by one, dip the lady fingers into the mixture and place an even layer of them into the bottom of a 3-quart dish. Once you've completed a layer, top the lady fingers with half of the whipped cream mixture. Repeat, making one more layer of soaked lady fingers and one final layer of cream. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place into the fridge for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  • When you're ready to serve, dust the top with cocoa powder.

I tried making this tiramisu, but I couldn't find any ladyfingers at the store. I used graham crackers instead, and they worked just as well.

This tiramisu is a bit too sweet for my taste. I would recommend using less sugar in the filling.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my tiramisu didn't turn out right. The ladyfingers were too soggy and the cream was too runny.

This tiramisu is a bit more boozy than I expected, but it's still delicious. I would recommend using less Baileys if you don't like your desserts too strong.
