This Banana Bread recipe is from the 1941 edition of the Fanny Farmer Boston Cooking School Cook Book. It is moist and scrumptious!

3 medium ripe bananas
3/4 c sugar
2 medium eggs
2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1/2 c nut meats chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Crush bananas with silver spoon. Add eggs beaten light, sugar, flour sifted, with salt, and soda, and nut meats.
  • 2. Bake 1 hour in moderately slow oven 325ºF / 162.78ºC
  • 3. Makes 1 loaf 5" x 9"
