Number Of Ingredients 13

1 large butter croissant
4 tbsp. cream cheese
2 tbsp. nutella
1/2 banana, sliced into round
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. rum
½ tsp. vanilla extract
butter
powdered sugar, optional
fresh fruit, optional

Steps:

  • 1. Slice croissant lengthwise almost all the way through. Spread cream cheese on both sides. Spread Nutella on top of cream cheese. Toss banana slices with brown sugar and put in ovenproof pan. Put under a hot broiler for about 30 seconds or until the sugar melts. Put banana slices on top of Nutella and close the croissant. In bowl, mix egg, milk, sugar, rum and vanilla mix until well blended. Dunk croissant into batter, soaking well. Heat a sauté pan over medium heat and coat with a little butter. Add croissant and cook like French toast, turning once. Top with powdered sugar and fresh fruit, if desired. Makes 1 serving. Cooking the Costco Way

I added a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar to the top of the croissants before baking them. It gave them a nice extra flavor.

I used a store-bought croissant dough for this recipe, and it worked perfectly. The croissants turned out just as good as if I had made the dough from scratch.
