Beef 'N' Beer image

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 lb beef chuck, boneless
12 mushrooms, cut in chunks
"just a pinch" of salt
"just a pinch" of pepper
1.5 can(s) beer
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1.5 Tbsp ketchup
2 large green bell peppers, sliced
1 Tbsp mustard

Steps:

  • 1. Salt and pepper meat and brown lightly in heavy skillet.
  • 2. Add onions, pepper and mushrooms and brown lightly.
  • 3. Pour beer over all, stir in ketchup and mustard.
  • 4. Cover tightly and simmer slowly for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
