1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 carrot, sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
¼ cup white wine
1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
¼ cup chopped green bell pepper
¼ cup chopped red bell pepper
⅓ cup bottled steak sauce
5 slices bacon
1 ½ pounds ground beef
1 (1.25 ounce) package chili seasoning mix
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a large pot over medium-low heat, combine tomatoes, tomato paste, carrot, onion, celery, wine, pepper flakes, bell peppers and steak sauce.
  • While tomato mixture is simmering, in a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove to paper towels. Cook beef in bacon drippings until brown; drain. Stir chili seasoning into ground beef.

1 cup diced yellow onion

1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder, preferably Mexican style

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 bay leaves
1 (28-ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, broken up with your hands
3 cups beef stock or canned, low-sodium beef broth
1 1/2 cups great northern beans
1 1/2 cups cooked and drained pinto beans
1 1/2 cups cooked and drained kidney beans
1 1/2 cups cooked and drained black beans
1 1/2 cups cooked and drained navy beans
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves
Sour cream, grated Cheddar and chopped green onions, for garnishing, optional

Steps:

  • In a cast iron pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook the meat until well browned, stirring occasionally, 4 to 6 minutes. Add the onions, bell pepper, garlic, chili powder, salt, cumin, black pepper, cayenne pepper, coriander, and cinnamon, and cook until vegetables are soft, 4 to 6 minutes. Add the bay leaves, tomatoes, and stock; bring the mixture to a simmer, partially cover, and cook for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add all of the beans, stir to combine, and continue to cook another 20 to 30 minutes, or until the flavors have come together and the chili has a nice, thick consistency. Add the cilantro, taste and adjust the seasoning, if necessary.

2 lb ground beef
2 c onions, green pepper & red pepper mixture in the frozen section or fresh
garlic powder ( i add a lot)
chili powder
salt & pepper to taste
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 medium can of green chili crushed tomatoes
1 can(s) tomato sauce
1 Tbsp sugar
use the large tomato can and fill with cold water...add to soup
1 can(s) chili beans
1 can(s) red kidney beans, rinsed
1 can(s) great northern beans, rinsed
1 can(s) black beans, rinsed

Steps:

  • 1. In stock pot on high brown the ground beef and onion & peppers. Add seasonings to meat.
  • 2. Add all tomato products, then all beans. Add the taco seasoning. I taste as I go so I usually add more of the seasonings till I get it to my liking.
  • 3. Cook on medium for and hr, then turn down to low and cook till flavors are just right.
  • 4. You can add toppings such as cheese, sour cream, pour over a salad with nachos. We ate ours plain with bread.

2 onions, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 tablespoon jalapeno, finely chopped
1 (14 ounce) can Mexican-style tomatoes (like Rotel)
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 tablespoons cumin
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika (smoked if you can find it)
1 (14 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (14 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup water
sour cream

Steps:

  • In a medium Dutch oven over medium-high heat add the olive oil. Add the ground meat and cook, breaking up into pieces, until browned. Add the onions, bell pepper and jalapeno and cook until softened. Drain excess grease.

1 lb sweet italian sausage, loose or remove casings
1 lb hot italian sausage, loose or remove casings
2 lb plum tomatoes
2 c chopped onions
6 clove garlic, minced
2 lb ground beef
2 green bell peppers, diced
2 red bell peppers, diced
3 can(s) (35 oz.) italian plum tomatoes
1 c dry red wine
1 c chopped italian parsley
2 Tbsp tomato paste
6 Tbsp chili powder
3 Tbsp cumin
2 Tbsp oregano, dried

6 fresh jalepenos
2 tsp salt
