1 can(s) (10.5 oz) of condensed chicken broth
1 1/2 c water
1 c heavy cream

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your potato soup. Look for Yukon Gold or russet potatoes, which have a creamy texture and hold their shape well when cooked. Use a good-quality chicken broth or stock, and fresh vegetables.
  • Don't overcook the potatoes: Overcooked potatoes will become mushy and lose their flavor. Cook them until they are just tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Add flavor enhancers: A variety of ingredients can be added to potato soup to enhance its flavor. Common additions include garlic, onion, celery, carrots, bacon, cheese, and herbs. Experiment with different combinations to find your favorite flavors.
  • Thicken the soup if desired: If you prefer a thicker soup, you can add a cornstarch or flour slurry. To make a slurry, whisk together equal parts cornstarch or flour with water until smooth. Stir the slurry into the soup and cook over medium heat until thickened.

Conclusion:

Potato soup is a classic comfort food that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With its creamy texture, rich flavor, and endless variations, it's sure to become a favorite in your household. So next time you're looking for a warm and satisfying meal, give potato soup a try. You won't be disappointed.
