AGAVERO MARGARITA

Agavero Margarita image

Agavero is a unique Tequila liqueur created over a century ago but you should be able to find it at your local liquor store. Our favorite drink at our favorite Mexican restaurant in our town is the Agavero Margarita and this is my version. I love using beer and limeade for margaritas as to me it give the margs fresh like taste, without being over-sweet.

Yield Makes 1 drink

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/2 ounce agave nectar
1/2 water
2 ounces tequila made from 100 percent agave, such as Patron, Don Julio, and Corazón
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

Steps:

Tips:

  • Choose the right tequila: For the best agave margarita, use a 100% agave tequila. This will give your margarita a smooth, rich flavor.
  • Use fresh lime juice: Fresh lime juice is essential for a great margarita. It adds a bright, citrusy flavor that can't be matched by bottled lime juice.
  • Don't skimp on the Cointreau: Cointreau is an orange liqueur that adds a subtle sweetness and complexity to margaritas. Don't leave it out!
  • Use a good quality salt: The salt on the rim of your margarita glass should be of good quality. Avoid using iodized salt, as it can have a bitter taste.
