Tips:

  • Choose the right egg roll wrappers: Look for egg roll wrappers made with thin and pliable pastry. This will ensure that they cook evenly and don't become too crispy or tough.
  • Prepare the filling ahead of time: This will give the flavors time to meld and the filling to cool slightly, making it easier to roll the egg rolls.
  • Don't overfill the egg rolls: Too much filling will make them difficult to roll and seal properly. Aim to fill each egg roll with about 1/4 cup of filling.
  • Seal the egg rolls tightly: Use a little water or egg wash to seal the edges of the egg rolls. This will prevent the filling from leaking out during cooking.
  • Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to the desired temperature before cooking the egg rolls. This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from sticking to the basket.
  • Cook the egg rolls in batches: Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook the egg rolls in batches to ensure that they cook evenly.
  • Serve the egg rolls hot: Egg rolls are best served hot and crispy. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet and sour sauce, duck sauce, or soy sauce.
