ALMOND RICE OAT MILK

Almond Rice Oat Milk image

This recipe comes from delectableplanet.com. I was searching for an alternative to store bought non dairy milks and found this. It can be made either in a soy milk maker( I use the soy quick) or on the stove top. I have not tried the stove top method so cannot advise on the results. I was specifically looking for something that would be good for baking and in my coffee. This fits the bill for us. Hope you enjoy.

Tips:

  • Use a good quality rice. A medium-grain rice, such as jasmine or basmati, will give you the best results.
  • Rinse the rice before cooking. This will remove any starch or debris from the rice, resulting in a fluffier finished product.
  • Use the right amount of liquid. The ratio of liquid to rice is important for getting the perfect consistency. For this recipe, you'll need 1 1/2 cups of liquid for every cup of rice.
  • Bring the liquid to a boil before adding the rice. This will help to prevent the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  • Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low. Simmer the rice for 18-20 minutes, or until all of the liquid has been absorbed.
  • Let the rice rest before serving. This will allow the rice to finish absorbing any remaining liquid and will also make it easier to fluff.

Conclusion:

This almond rice oat milk recipe is a delicious and healthy way to enjoy rice. It's perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal or a special occasion. The creamy, nutty flavor of the almond milk pairs perfectly with the fluffy rice, and the oats add a touch of heartiness and texture. Plus, this recipe is gluten-free and vegan, so it's a great option for people with dietary restrictions.
