ALLIE'S SPICY BANANA BREAD

Allie's Spicy Banana Bread image

This is a recipe I received from my Sister many years ago. I have made it countless times and it's always a hit. I've also given the recipe away to many. It isn't "spicy" in the traditional sense. Can be doubled or tripled and freezes really well. I also add 1 cup of walnuts, you can call me nutty.

ANGIE'S BANANA NUT BREAD

My best friend is a great baker and she gave me this recipe. I made it for my family and they just loved it. She said it's also good when you substitute the banana's with either sweet potatoes or canned pumpkin at your different times of the year.

  • Pour mix into a glass bread pan or in a metal pan that's been sprayed with cooking spray and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Tips:

  • Use overripe bananas: The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your banana bread will be.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing will make your banana bread tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake at the right temperature: Banana bread should be baked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. A lower temperature will make the bread too dense, while a higher temperature will make it too dry.
  • Check for doneness: Insert a toothpick into the center of the bread. If it comes out clean, the bread is done.
  • Let it cool before slicing: Allow the banana bread to cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing it. This will help the bread to hold its shape.

Conclusion:

Banana bread is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. With its moist texture and sweet flavor, banana bread is a favorite of people of all ages. Follow these tips and you'll be able to make perfect banana bread every time.
