Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of meat: Hanger steak is a flavorful and affordable cut that is perfect for grilling. Look for a steak that is about 1 inch thick and has a good amount of marbling.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak helps to tenderize it and add flavor. You can use a simple marinade made with olive oil, garlic, and herbs, or you can get creative and try a more complex marinade.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: Hanger steak is best cooked over high heat so that it gets a nice sear on the outside while remaining juicy on the inside. Grill the steak for about 5 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 135 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare.
  • Let the steak rest before serving: Once the steak is cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak.

Conclusion:

Hanger steak is a delicious and versatile cut of meat that is perfect for grilling. By following these tips, you can cook a hanger steak that is juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Serve the steak with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a simple salad.
