APPLE CINNAMON GRANOLA

Apple Cinnamon Granola image

I adapted my own version of this from 3 or four other recipes. I wanted a low fat, low cal granola so this is what I came up with. This version isn't real sweet but it has an excellent flavor. I wanted my granola pretty crunchy so I left it in the oven for almost 90 minutes. The only thing is, you have to keep a close eye on it or it could burn. For the first 60 minutes I stirred it every 10-15 minutes. For the last 30 minutes I stirred it about every 5.

APPLE CINNAMON GRANOLA COOKIES

Apple Cinnamon Granola Cookies image

I love baking and experimenting with recipes. A couple of nights ago I had purchased some granola on sale at the store and wondered if I could substitute it for oatmeal. After viewing several recipes for oatmeal cookies, I decided just to put together something myself. The result? Well, lets just say my husband LOVES them!

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe apples: This will give your granola the best flavor and texture.
  • Choose old-fashioned or rolled oats: These types of oats will hold their shape better than quick-cooking oats.
  • Add nuts and seeds: Nuts and seeds add a nice crunch and extra flavor to granola. Some popular choices include almonds, walnuts, pecans, sunflower seeds, and chia seeds.
  • Use a variety of spices: Spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger add a warm, inviting flavor to granola. You can also add a pinch of salt to enhance the other flavors.
  • Be careful not to overbake the granola: Overbaked granola is dry and hard. Bake it just until it is golden brown and fragrant.
  • Store granola in an airtight container: This will help it stay fresh and crispy for up to two weeks.

Conclusion:

Apple cinnamon granola is a delicious and healthy snack or breakfast option. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With its sweet, crunchy, and flavorful taste, it is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you are looking for a healthy and satisfying snack, give apple cinnamon granola a try.
