APPLE COFFEE CAKE BREAD

I've loved to cook since my grandmother helped me stand in a chair and "fry" toast when I was 4. I've been a nurse for 18 years, and my husband and I and our daughter recently moved here to Bristol, Tennessee from Bristol, Virginia-the state line runs down Main Street!

Tips:

  • For a crispier streusel topping, use cold butter and flour. You can also freeze the streusel before baking for an even crispier topping.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
  • To make sure the coffee cake is cooked through, insert a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean, the cake is done.
  • Let the coffee cake cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. This will help the cake to set and make it easier to slice.

Conclusion:

Apple coffee cake bread is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. With its moist and flavorful crumb, sweet streusel topping, and apple filling, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone.
