1 (16 ounce) tub Marzetti's® Old Fashioned Caramel Dip
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ¾ cups quick cooking oats
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup butter, softened
¼ cup shortening
½ cup packed brown sugar
4 ½ cups peeled and chopped favorite apples

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, oats, salt and baking soda.
  • In a large mixing bowl, blend together butter, shortening and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add dry mixture and blend to form a crumbly mixture.
  • Measure and set aside 2 cups crumbs. Press remaining crumbs into a 9x13 inch pan. Spread apples into an even layer over crust.
  • Transfer Marzetti Old Fashioned Caramel Dip to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 to 40 seconds or until warm. Stir until smooth. Pour over apples and sprinkle remaining crumbs over all.
  • Bake on middle rack of oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown and apples are tender. Cut into desired size bars while slightly warm and serve.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine, softened
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 ounces plain low-fat yogurt
2 egg whites
2 cups peeled chopped granny smith apples
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a bowl, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer.
  • Reserve 2 cups flour mixture, and set aside.
  • Add baking soda and next 3 ingredients to remaining flour mixture; beat well.
  • Add vanilla and next 2 ingredients; beat well.
  • Stir in apple.
  • Press reserved 2 cups flour mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray.
  • Sprinkle walnuts over flour mixture.
  • Spread apple mixture over prepared crust.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until browned.
  • Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.

1 pkg refrigerated dough sheet
2 pkg 8 oz. cream cheese
1/2 c sugar
2 Tbsp all purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp maple extract
1 egg
1 can(s) 20 oz apple pie filling
1 1/2 c crushed oats & honey granola bars
1/2 c real maple syrup

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray bottom and sides of 13x 9 inch pan with cooking spray. unroll dough and press in bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of pan.
  • 2. In large bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, flour, vanilla, maple extract, and egg with an electric mixer.
  • 3. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over dough. Spoon apple pie filling over cream cheese mixture. Sprinke with crushed granola bars.
  • 4. Bake 30-35 minutes until crust is deep golden brown and filling is set. Cool 30 minutes. Refrigerate 2 hours. For bars cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Drizzle each one with maple syrup. Cover and refrigerate any remaining bars up to 3 days.
