YUM! And 99% fat free, according to Rachel Ray. I saw this on her show the other day and was so inspired I went out and bought ground turkey breast. It sounds weird to include apples but it makes these REALLY incredible!!! (Try the cranberry mayo idea too--see the recipe instructions!)

- Combine turkey, apple, onion, celery, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl and form into 4 large patties.
- Preheat a large skillet or a grill pan to medium high heat.
- Drizzle skillet or brush grill with vegetable oil and cook patties 5 to 6 minutes on each side.
- Serve with FF mayo mixed with cranberry sauce for a gourmet touch, on toasted sourdough english muffins!

- In a bowl, combine turkey, scallions, parsley, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Form into four patties, pressing your thumb in the middle of each to prevent it from bulging.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 6 minutes on each side for medium. Top each with 3 apple slices and 2 cheese slices, tent the pan with foil and cook until the cheese melts, 1 to 2 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together cranberry sauce and mustard, slather on muffin tops. Pile some lettuce on muffin bottoms, and set the burgers in the middle!
APPLE MAPLE TURKEY BURGERS WITH MAPLE-DIJON SAUCE
Steps:
- Prep: Set up grill for direct cooking over medium heat. Oil grate when ready to start cooking. For Maple-Dijon Sauce: 1. In a small bowl, stir to combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, 2 tablespoons maple syrup; set aside. For Turkey Burgers: 1. In a medium bowl, mix together all ingredients for burgers. Wet hands to prevent sticking and shape into 4 patties. 2. Place burgers on hot oiled grill for 5 to 6 minutes per side or until done. Serve on buns with traditional condiments plus a dollop of maple-Dijon sauce. Note: If indoors prepare burgers as directed. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil on a large skillet over medium-high heat. - Form mixture into 4 patties and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, mix together the chili sauce and apple jelly.
