2 tablespoons sugar
2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
3-3/4 to 4-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup water
4 tablespoons butter, divided
1 large egg
3/4 cup shredded Asiago cheese, divided

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix sugar, yeast, garlic salt, Italian seasoning and 2 cups flour. In a small saucepan, heat milk, water and 2 tablespoons butter to 120°-130°. Add to dry ingredients; beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Add egg; beat 2 minutes longer. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky). , Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. , Punch down dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide and shape into 18 balls. Roll each into a 12-in. rope; tie into a loose knot. Tuck ends under. Place 3 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Melt remaining butter; brush over rolls. Sprinkle with remaining cheese., Let rise in a warm place until almost doubled, about 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 375°., Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown, rotating pans halfway through baking. Remove from pans to wire racks; serve warm.

1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
3/4 cup shredded Asiago cheese, divided
1/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
2 cups whole wheat flour
1-1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 large egg white
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • In bread machine pan, place the water, eggs, oil, honey, 1/2 cup cheese, milk powder, salt, basil, flours and yeast in order suggested by manufacturer. Select dough setting (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water or flour if needed)., When cycle is completed, turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Shape into 12 balls. Push thumb through centers to form a 1-1/2-in. hole. Stretch and shape dough to form an even ring. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes; flatten bagels slightly., Fill a Dutch oven two-thirds full with water; bring to a boil. Drop bagels, 2 at a time, into boiling water. 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
1 (1/4 ounce) envelope Fleischmann's active dry yeast
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated asiago cheese
10 -12 slices cooked bacon, crumbled (about 1 cup)
1 tablespoon spice islands chives

Steps:

  • Heat milk, water and butter until warm (100° to 110°F). Pour into large mixing bowl and add yeast. Stir and let rest for 5 minutes. Beat in eggs.
