Number Of Ingredients 9

4 lbs pork spareribs (fresh)
1 cup diced onion
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard

  • Bake covered at 350° for approximately 2 hours, turning 2 or 3 times.
  • Remove cover.
  • Bake for 15 minutes longer.

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Look for ribs that are meaty and have a good amount of marbling. Avoid ribs that are too fatty or have a lot of bones.
  • Prepare the ribs properly: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat. Cut the ribs into individual portions if desired.
  • Use a good quality barbecue sauce: Choose a sauce that is thick and flavorful. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own.
  • Cook the ribs slowly and low: This will help the ribs to become tender and fall off the bone. Cook the ribs for at least 2 hours, or until they are cooked through.
  • Baste the ribs regularly: This will help to keep the ribs moist and prevent them from drying out. Baste the ribs with barbecue sauce every 30 minutes or so.
  • Let the ribs rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the ribs. Let the ribs rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
