Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef: Flank steak, skirt steak, and chuck roast are all good choices for beef tacos. These cuts are relatively inexpensive and have a good amount of flavor.
  • Marinating the beef: Marinating the beef before cooking helps to tenderize it and add flavor. You can use a variety of marinades, such as a simple mixture of olive oil, lime juice, and spices, or a more complex marinade with ingredients like soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.
  • Cooking the beef: The beef can be cooked in a variety of ways, such as grilling, pan-frying, or roasting. If you are grilling the beef, be sure to cook it over medium-high heat so that it gets a nice sear. If you are pan-frying the beef, use a heavy skillet and cook the beef in batches so that it does not steam.
  • Shredding the beef: Once the beef is cooked, it should be shredded. You can use a fork or two forks to shred the beef, or you can use a meat shredder.
  • Assembling the tacos: To assemble the tacos, start by placing a tortilla on a plate. Add some shredded beef, your favorite toppings, and a squeeze of lime juice. Fold the tortilla in half or roll it up, and enjoy!
