BANANA CARAMEL ICED COFFEE SHAKE

Banana Caramel Iced Coffee Shake image

Inspired by banana caramel iced coffee recipes which use vanilla ice cream. I didn't want to use ice cream, so I decided to use frozen banana. The milk gets wonderfully frothy if you blend the mixture on high for at least one minute. You can use any milk you like. Prep time includes 24 hours of freezing for the banana!

Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 medium banana, cut into pieces and frozen
1 c milk of choice
1 tsp instant coffee granules
1 Tbsp caramel syrup
1 Tbsp protein powder, neutral (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Cut the banana into 1 inch pieces and freeze for 24 hours.
  • 2. In a blender, combine frozen banana pieces, coffee granules, caramel syrup and milk of choice, add protein powder if desired.
  • 3. Blend on high for at least 1 minute until it gets really frothy.
  • 4. Serve, garnish with another drizzle of caramel syrup if desired. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Choose ripe bananas. The riper the bananas, the sweeter and more flavorful your shake will be.
  • Use cold coffee or espresso. This will help to cool down the shake and make it more refreshing.
  • Add ice if you like a thicker shake. You can also use frozen bananas to make a thicker shake.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking. You can add more honey or maple syrup if you like a sweeter shake.
  • Top your shake with whipped cream, chocolate chips, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for an extra special treat.

Conclusion:

A banana coffee shake is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. It is also a great way to use up overripe bananas. With just a few simple ingredients, you can easily make a banana coffee shake at home. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy way to cool down and satisfy your sweet tooth, give a banana coffee shake a try.
