BASQUE SALAD DRESSING
This is a traditional Basque salad dressing. So tasty on a green salad with just a touch of garlic salt - but then all Basque's can't get enough garlic.

BASQUE SALAD
When I lived in Elko, Nevada, I dined at the local Basque houses quite regularly. The meals are served "family style" and every meal begins with soda bread, cabbage soup, and a green salad. I got this recipe from a former co-worker who use to work at one of the Basque houses, so it's a pretty authentic recipe. It is simple, but has a lot of flavor, especially if you like garlic! This salad is best served with chicken or steak.

BASQUE SALAD
This recipe is inspired by Woolgrowers Restaurant in Bakersfield, California. Among the many appetizers they give, there is one that is very much like this salad which is handy to have in the refrigerator. It is very good and close to my inspiration.

Steps:
- Mix all ingredients.
- Chill in refrigerator, overnight.
Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality tomatoes: The flavor of your salad dressing will only be as good as the tomatoes you use. Choose ripe, juicy tomatoes with no blemishes.
- Remove the seeds from the tomatoes: This will help to prevent the dressing from becoming too watery.
- Use a good quality olive oil: The olive oil is the base of the dressing, so it's important to use a good one. Look for an olive oil that is extra virgin and has a fruity flavor.
- Add a little bit of vinegar: The vinegar will help to balance out the sweetness of the tomatoes and add a bit of acidity to the dressing.
- Season the dressing with salt and pepper: To taste. You can also add other herbs and spices, such as garlic, basil, or oregano, to taste.
- Let the dressing chill for at least 30 minutes before serving: This will allow the flavors to meld together.
Conclusion:
Basque salad dressing is a delicious and versatile dressing that can be used on a variety of salads. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a new salad dressing to try, give Basque salad dressing a try. You won't be disappointed!
