Tips:
- Use fresh or thawed beans: Canned beans can be used but they tend to be softer and may result in a less crispy biscuit.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing will result in tough biscuits. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help it to hold its shape and rise better in the oven.
- Bake the biscuits in a hot oven: A hot oven will help the biscuits to rise quickly and evenly.
- Serve the biscuits warm: Bean biscuits are best served warm, straight out of the oven.
Conclusion:
Bean biscuits are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or side dish. They are a great way to use up leftover beans and they are a good source of protein and fiber. With a variety of flavors and additional ingredients to choose from, bean biscuits are a versatile recipe that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
