BEEF N' BEAN CASSEROLE
This was a recipe I saved from my mother's recipe box. Many of them just are clippings from magazines or newspaper's over the years. This said it was the $25,000.00 dollar winner, but I'm sorry I don't know what contest it is from. I've made this recipe many times and my family just loves it. I omit the pimento-stuffed olives and the slivered almonds in the biscuits, not because I don't love them - because I do, but because I can't get my daughter to eat them. If you love baked beans and ground beef, you'll love this recipe! It makes quite a bit so we always have leftovers the next day. It reheats nicely.

Tips:
- Choose the right ground beef: For the best flavor and texture, use an 80/20 ground beef blend.
- Brown the beef thoroughly: This will help to develop the flavor and prevent the meat from becoming dry and crumbly.
- Use a variety of beans: Canned or dried beans can be used in this recipe. If using dried beans, be sure to soak them overnight before cooking.
- Don't overcook the beans: They should be tender but still hold their shape.
- Use a creamy soup: Cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup can be used in this recipe. Cream of chicken soup can also be used, but it will give the casserole a slightly different flavor.
- Add some vegetables: Diced onions, celery, and carrots are all good additions to this casserole. Frozen vegetables can also be used.
- Use a sharp cheddar cheese: This will give the casserole a nice sharp flavor.
- Bake the casserole until it is bubbly and golden brown: This will usually take about 30 minutes.
- Let the casserole stand for a few minutes before serving: This will help to set the casserole and make it easier to serve.
