Tips:

  • Choose the right bacon: Thick-cut bacon works best for this recipe, as it can withstand the longer cooking time without becoming too crispy.
  • Use a good quality beer: The flavor of the beer will come through in the final product, so choose a beer that you enjoy drinking. A dark beer, such as a stout or porter, will give the bacon a richer flavor, while a light beer, such as a pilsner or lager, will give it a more delicate flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the bacon, make sure to leave enough space between each slice so that they can cook evenly.
  • Cook the bacon slowly: Low and slow is the key to getting perfectly tender and flavorful bacon. Cook the bacon over medium-low heat for about 20 minutes, or until it is cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Don't forget the brown sugar: The brown sugar helps to caramelize the bacon and give it a delicious sweet and smoky flavor.

Conclusion:

Beer candied bacon is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. Whether you are serving it as an appetizer, a side dish, or a main course, your guests are sure to love it. So next time you are looking for a new and exciting way to cook bacon, give beer candied bacon a try. You won't be disappointed!
