Tips:
- To ensure the Brussels sprouts are evenly cooked, cut them into uniform sizes. Try to keep them around the same thickness, so they cook uniformly.
- Don't be afraid to add some extra flavor to the sprouts. Try tossing them with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder before roasting.
- If you want your Brussels sprouts to be extra crispy, roast them at a higher temperature. Just keep an eye on them so they don't burn.
- Feel free to experiment with different types of nuts and seeds. Walnuts, pecans, and almonds would all be great additions to this dish.
- If you don't have any bacon on hand, you can use pancetta or prosciutto instead. They will add a similar salty, savory flavor to the sprouts.
- Don't skip the balsamic vinegar. It adds a lovely tanginess that balances out the sweetness of the Brussels sprouts and bacon.
Conclusion:
Roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon is a delicious and easy side dish that can be enjoyed all year round. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a dish that is both flavorful and healthy.
