Tips:
- Fresh corn is always the best choice for corn casserole, but frozen corn can be used in a pinch. If using frozen corn, be sure to thaw it and drain it well before adding it to the casserole.
- To get the most flavor out of the bacon, cook it until it is crispy. You can do this in a skillet over medium heat or in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 15 minutes.
- Don't overmix the casserole batter. Overmixing will make the casserole tough. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the casserole until it is set in the center and the top is golden brown. This usually takes about 30 minutes.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. This will help it to set and make it easier to serve.
Conclusion:
Corn casserole is a classic Southern side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. With its creamy texture, sweet corn flavor, and crispy bacon topping, corn casserole is sure to be a hit at your next gathering.
