Tips:

  • To ensure the beef is evenly browned, pat it dry with paper towels before searing in the pan.
  • Use a large skillet to sear the beef in a single layer. This will prevent the beef from steaming and ensure a nice brown crust.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the vegetables. If necessary, cook them in batches.
  • To make the biscuits, use cold butter or shortening. This will help the biscuits rise higher and flakier.
  • Be sure to preheat the oven before baking the casserole. This will help the biscuits cook evenly.

Conclusion:

Biscuit-topped beef casserole is a hearty and comforting meal that is perfect for a family dinner. The combination of tender beef, savory vegetables, and fluffy biscuits is sure to please everyone at the table. This casserole is also relatively easy to make, making it a great option for busy weeknights.
