1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beting well after each addition. Blend in the oil and vanilla.

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup white sugar for decoration

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt; set aside.
