1/2 cup sugar
1 can (12 oz) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
3 1/2 cups water
2 cups vodka
8 lemon slices

Steps:

  • In large bowl, crush blueberries with sugar, using potato masher. Let stand 20 minutes for syrup to form. Place strainer over small bowl; pour berry mixture into strainer. Press mixture with back of spoon to get as much syrup as possible; discard pulp.
  • In large pitcher, stir together blueberry syrup, lemonade concentrate, water and vodka.
  • To serve, fill 8 lowball or highball glasses with ice. Divide lemonade among glasses. Garnish with lemon slices.

1 cup blueberries
3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Steps:

  • To make the blueberry simple syrup, combine sugar and 1 cup water in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Stir in blueberries and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until blueberries have broken down, about 3-4 minutes. Strain blueberry mixture through a cheesecloth or fine sieve; let cool. In a large pitcher, whisk together blueberry simple syrup, lemon juice and 5 cups water. Place in the refrigerator until chilled. Serve over ice and blueberries, if desired.
