The original recipe was for a strawberry magarita and it was in a circular that was delivered to my house for the Cinco De Mayo celebration. *Note: Cooking time is blending time. (Corrections have been made to this recipe).

Tips:

  • Use fresh blueberries: Fresh blueberries have the best flavor and will give your margarita a beautiful color. If you can't find fresh blueberries, you can use frozen blueberries, but thaw them completely before using.
  • Make your own sour mix: It's easy to make your own sour mix at home, and it will taste much better than the store-bought kind. Simply combine equal parts lime juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a jar or bottle.
  • Use a good quality tequila: The tequila is the main ingredient in a margarita, so it's important to use a good quality one. Look for a tequila that is 100% blue agave and has a smooth, flavorful taste.
  • Don't over-shake the margarita: Over-shaking the margarita will make it watery and dilute the flavors. Shake the margarita just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Serve the margarita immediately: Margaritas are best served immediately after they are made. If you need to make them ahead of time, store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours.

Conclusion:

The blueberry margarita is a refreshing and flavorful cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. So next time you're looking for a delicious and festive drink, give the blueberry margarita a try.
