A different take on the usual quesadillas. I have a quesadilla press/maker that I use for these, though the recipe uses the stove/oven method.

Steps:
- Take one tortilla and lay it flat on a small cutting board. Spoon the apple pie filling onto the tortilla to within a half inch from the edge of the tortilla. Put the second tortilla on top of the first one, like a sandwich.
- Heat up your quesadilla maker and slide the apple quesadilla onto the griddle and close the lid and cook for 5 minutes. If you don't have a quesadilla maker, you can melt a little butter in a large skillet, not too much, over medium heat and slide the quesadilla into the skillet and brown, then carefully flip the quesadilla and brown the other side. Remove hot quesadilla to the cutting board. Cut the quesadilla in 6 pieces, and dust with powdered sugar, and lightly sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg. Serve hot with or without ice cream. Enjoy!
Tips:
- Choose the right tortillas. Flour tortillas are the best choice for quesadillas because they are soft and pliable, and they hold together well. You can also use corn tortillas, but they are more likely to break apart.
- Use fresh, ripe apples. This will give your quesadilla the best flavor. If you are using pre-sliced apples, be sure to rinse them well before using.
- Shred the cheese finely. This will help it melt evenly throughout the quesadilla.
- Don't overcrowd the quesadilla. If you put too much filling in, it will be difficult to fold and cook evenly.
- Cook the quesadilla over medium heat. This will help it cook evenly without burning the tortillas.
- Serve the quesadilla immediately. This is when it is at its best. You can top it with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole, if desired.
Conclusion:
Apple pie quesadillas are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or meal. They are perfect for busy weeknights or for a quick lunch on the go. With a few simple ingredients, you can create a satisfying quesadilla that is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you are looking for a new recipe to try, give apple pie quesadillas a try. You won't be disappointed!
