Time 2m

Yield 1-2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup fat-free cottage cheese
1 apple, skin left on,cored and chopped
1 teaspoon raisins
1/2 cup pineapple tidbits
4 teaspoons slivered almonds
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon dried cilantro or 1/2 teaspoon fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • Combine ingredients.
  • Eat and be healthy!

Tips:

  • Use seasonal fruits: Seasonal fruits are typically at their peak of freshness and flavor, making them ideal for fruit salad. Plus, they are often more affordable than out-of-season fruits.
  • Choose a variety of fruits: The more variety of fruits you use, the more colorful and flavorful your fruit salad will be. Try to include a mix of fruits with different textures and flavors, such as berries, citrus fruits, melons, and stone fruits.
  • Prepare the fruits properly: Before adding fruits to your salad, be sure to wash them thoroughly and remove any pits or seeds. You may also want to peel fruits such as oranges, grapefruit, and bananas, depending on your preference.
  • Add some sweetness: If you find that your fruit salad is too tart, you can add some sweetness by adding a drizzle of honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar. You can also add some chopped dates or raisins for a natural sweetness.
  • Garnish your fruit salad: Once your fruit salad is assembled, you can garnish it with a variety of toppings, such as chopped nuts, seeds, or fresh herbs. This will add a pop of color and flavor to your salad.

Conclusion:

Whether you are looking for a refreshing breakfast, a healthy snack, or a light dessert, fruit salad is a delicious and nutritious option. With so many different fruits to choose from, there are endless possibilities for creating a fruit salad that you will love. So next time you are looking for a healthy and refreshing treat, reach for a bowl of fruit salad.
