kosher salt

  • Cool briefly, cut into slices and serve.

Tips:

  • For a crispy calzone, brush the outside with melted butter or olive oil before baking.
  • Make sure to seal the calzone edges tightly with a fork or your fingers to prevent the cheese from leaking out.
  • Use a variety of cheeses for a more flavorful calzone. Mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan are all good choices.
  • If you don't have a calzone pan, you can use a large baking sheet. Just make sure to grease the pan well so the calzone doesn't stick.
  • Serve the calzone with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or blue cheese dressing.
