Categories     Chicken

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 chicken breasts, halved, boneless and skinless
vegetable oil
10 oz cream of broccoli soup
1/2 c milk
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded
cheddar cheese, additional to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Brown chicken breasts on both sides in a small amount of oil; drain off excess oil.
  • 2. Combine soup and milk; pour over chicken. Bring to a boil; cover and cook over low heat 5 to 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
  • 3. Remove chicken from pan; keep warm.
  • 4. Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese to sauce; stir until melted. Pour sauce over chicken.
  • 5. Sprinkle additional cheese over all. Serve with hot cooked pasta or rice.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, top-quality ingredients: This will make a big difference in the final dish. Use organic chicken, fresh broccoli, and high-quality cheese.
  • Don't overcook the broccoli: It should still have a bit of a crunch. Cook it for about 5 minutes, or until it is bright green and tender.
  • Use a good quality cheese: A sharp cheddar or Gruyère cheese will work well. Avoid using a pre-shredded cheese, as it doesn't melt as well.
  • Make sure the sauce is thick enough: It should coat the chicken and broccoli without being too runny. If the sauce is too thin, add a little more flour or cornstarch.
  • Serve immediately: This dish is best served hot out of the oven. Enjoy it with a side of mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.

Conclusion:

Broccoli Chicken Supreme is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables. The chicken is tender and juicy, the broccoli is crisp and flavorful, and the cheese sauce is rich and creamy. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
