4 sugar cubes
1/2 pint very hot very strong black coffee
6 tablespoons cognac

Steps:

  • Rinse out four coffee cups with boiling water to warm the cups. Pour out. Add a sugar cube to each cup then fill a little below the rim with hot coffee. Float 1 1/2 tbsp cognac on each of the four cups and set aflame. Let flame for a few seconds then extinguish by stirring with a spoon.
