Tips:

  • Mise en place: Gather and prepare all your ingredients and equipment before starting to cook. This will make the cooking process smoother and more efficient.
  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your dish will taste. Look for fresh vegetables, tender-crisp water chestnuts, and high-quality cashew nuts.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the chicken and vegetables, do it in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the pan. This will help ensure that everything cooks evenly and doesn't steam instead of fry.
  • Use a large skillet or wok: This will give you plenty of room to cook the chicken and vegetables without overcrowding. A large skillet or wok will also help prevent splattering.
  • Cook the chicken until it's golden brown and cooked through: Be sure to cook the chicken until it's no longer pink in the center. This will help ensure that it's safe to eat.
  • Add the vegetables and sauce last: This will help prevent them from overcooking. Add the vegetables and sauce to the skillet or wok and cook just until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
