CHAMBORD RASPBERRY MARGARITA

Chambord Raspberry Margarita image

This is a copy cat of Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill from Top Secret Recipes. A little bit of work but I think will be well worth the effort. Makes three 10 1/2 oz drinks. I don't know what the chill time is so I estimated at least 4 hours.

Time 4h10m

Yield 3 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups warm water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
5 ounces montezuma gold tequila
2 1/2 ounces triple sec, liqueur
1 1/2 ounces Chambord raspberry liquor, raspberry liqueur
3 lime wedges

Steps:

  • Combine sugar with warm water in a pitcher and stir or shake until sugar is dissolved. Add lime juice, lemon juice, tequila and triple sec and put the pitcher in the freezer for several hours , until the drink is frozen.
  • When the drink is frozen, use a long spoon to mix it up until it's slushy and smooth. The alcohol in the drink will prevent it from freezing solid so that you can easily break it up by stirring.
  • To make each drink, pour 1/2 oz Chambord into the bottom of a large margarita glass. Pour the frozen margarita over the Chambord and the liqueur will swirl itself into the frozen margarita mix.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a straw.

Tips:

  • Choose the right tequila. A reposado or añejo tequila will give your Chambord margarita a smoother, more complex flavor than a blanco tequila.
  • Use fresh lime juice. Fresh lime juice is essential for a great margarita. Bottled lime juice will not give you the same flavor.
  • Add a splash of Chambord. Chambord is a French raspberry liqueur that adds a delicious sweetness and tartness to margaritas.
  • Rim the glass with salt. Salting the rim of the glass is a classic margarita garnish that adds a salty-sweet flavor to the drink.
  • Serve your margarita chilled. Margaritas are best served chilled, so make sure to shake them well with ice before serving.

Conclusion:

The Chambord margarita is a delicious and refreshing twist on the classic margarita. It's perfect for any occasion, from a casual get-together to a festive party. With its sweet and tart flavor, the Chambord margarita is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
