GREEN BEANS WITH CHEDDAR
This is an interesting way to make green beans. This reminds me of a green bean casserole, but there is no soup in it. I made this for a dinner party I threw and was unsure if it would be a hit, but everyone devoured it and none was left so enjoy!

GREEN BEANS WITH CHEESE SAUCE
Steps:
- Bring 1/4 cup water just to a boil in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add the green beans and salt, cover and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat.
- Melt the remaining 3 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the flour and cook, stirring, until golden, about 2 minutes. Whisk in the milk, garlic powder, dry mustard, black pepper and cayenne and cook, whisking continuously, until thickened, about 2 minutes. Stir in the cheddar cheese and cream cheese and heat until melted. Pour the cheese sauce over the green beans, or serve on the side.

DOUBLE CHEDDAR GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE
We love green beans and cheddar cheese! A good twist on an old favorite. Found on www.frenchsfoods.com. Using the French's Cheddar French Fried Onions makes a big difference. This is just as good with the regular Cream of Mushroom soup. NOTE: To make cleanup easier I greased the casserole dish first.

Tips:
- To save time, use frozen green beans instead of fresh ones. Just be sure to thaw them completely before cooking.
- If you don't have any sharp cheddar cheese on hand, you can use mild cheddar instead. Just be aware that the flavor of the dish will be less pronounced.
- For a creamier sauce, use heavy cream instead of milk. You can also add a tablespoon or two of sour cream for extra richness.
- If you like your green beans a little crispy, don't cook them for too long. Just a few minutes in the boiling water will do the trick.
- Serve cheddar green beans as a side dish with your favorite main course. They're also great as a snack or appetizer.
Conclusion:
Cheddar green beans are a classic Southern dish that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and flavorful side dish that will complement any meal. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy recipe, give cheddar green beans a try. You won't be disappointed!
