CREAMY CHEESY POTATOES

Creamy Cheesy Potatoes image

Comfort food at it's best! I don't usually measure when I make this dish, so the ingredients are approximations. You may need more or less of an ingredient to suit your tastes. If you want a cheesy dish, use the cheddar cheese soup, otherwise use the cream of mushroom to use as a creamy base.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of potatoes. This will give your dish a more complex flavor and texture. Try using a combination of Yukon Gold, red potatoes, and russet potatoes.
  • Don't overcook the potatoes. They should be tender but still slightly firm. Overcooked potatoes will be mushy and bland.
  • Use a good quality cheese. The type of cheese you use will have a big impact on the flavor of your dish. Use a cheese that melts well and has a strong flavor, such as cheddar, Gruyère, or Parmesan.
  • Add some aromatics. Aromatics, such as onions, garlic, and celery, will add flavor to your dish. Sauté them in butter or oil before adding the potatoes.
  • Season the potatoes well. Use a combination of salt, pepper, and herbs to season the potatoes. You can also add other spices, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
  • Bake the potatoes until they are golden brown. This will give them a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior.
  • Serve the potatoes immediately. Company potatoes are best served hot and fresh out of the oven.
