CHERRY CRUNCH ICE CREAM
I received this wonderful recipe many years ago from a friend. The creamy custard-style ice cream has a mild cherry flavor with a fun oat crunch. It takes some time to make, but it's worth the extra effort! -Dorothy Koshinski, Decatur, Illinois

Tips:
- Use fresh cherries for the best flavor. If you can't find fresh cherries, you can use frozen cherries that have been thawed and drained.
- Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature before mixing it with the other ingredients. This will help to ensure a smooth filling.
- If you don't have a food processor, you can chop the pecans and walnuts by hand. Just be sure to chop them finely so that they blend well with the other ingredients.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the bars tough.
- Be careful not to overbake the bars. They should be set, but still slightly soft in the center.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting them. This will help to prevent them from crumbling.
- Serve the bars chilled or at room temperature.
Conclusion:
Cherry Cream Crunch is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It's a great way to use up fresh cherries, and it's always a hit with guests. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give Cherry Cream Crunch a try. You won't be disappointed!
