Cherry Tomato Caesar Salad image

Whether the tomatoes deserve it or not, I make some version of a tomato Caesar salad every summer. Here, I inverted the usual proportions of lettuce to tomatoes, favoring the tomatoes. It was the juiciest of Caesars, and pretty, too, dotted with anchovies and curls of Parmesan.

Tips:

  • Use ripe, flavorful cherry tomatoes: This is key to a great Caesar salad. Look for tomatoes that are deep red in color and have a sweet, juicy flavor.
  • Make your own Caesar dressing: It's easy to do and tastes so much better than store-bought dressing. You can find a recipe for Caesar dressing in the article.
  • Use a variety of lettuces: This will give your salad more texture and flavor. Some good options include romaine lettuce, butter lettuce, and baby spinach.
  • Don't overdress the salad: A light coating of dressing is all you need. Otherwise, the salad will be too heavy and oily.
