6 tomatillos, husked and halved
1 large onion, cut into 8 pieces
1 jalapeno, stemmed, cored and halved lengthwise (remove seeds for less heat)
1 large clove garlic, peeled
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, plus more for frying
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
10 corn tortillas, each cut into 1/2-inch strips
1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco cheese
1/4 cup roughly chopped fresh cilantro, for serving
Dollop sour cream, optional

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place the tomatillos, onion, jalapeno and garlic on a baking sheet. Drizzle 2 tablespoons oil over the vegetables and toss to coat. 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1 cup Pace Picante Sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
4 ounces monterey jack cheese, shredded
10 flour tortillas
1 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 green onion, sliced
