Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c cooked chicken
1 c chopped celery
1 c diced onion
1 c grated carrots
mayonnaise, to taste
potato sticks, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • 2. Add as much mayonnaise as you like. Top with the potato sticks.
  • 3. Notes: You can use canned chicken to make this salad. Be sure to drain it first. You want to top the salad with the potato sticks. If you stir them into the salad, they will become soggy and lose their crunch. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken. For this recipe, it's best to use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs. If you're using chicken breasts, slice them into thin strips. If you're using chicken thighs, cut them into 1-inch pieces.
  • Make sure the shoestring potatoes are crispy. The best way to do this is to fry them in hot oil until they're golden brown and crispy. You can also bake them in the oven, but they won't be as crispy.
  • Use a flavorful marinade. The marinade will help to infuse the chicken with flavor. You can use any marinade you like, but a simple mixture of olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper is always a good choice.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. When you're cooking the chicken, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the chicken from cooking evenly.
  • Cook the chicken until it's cooked through. The best way to tell if the chicken is cooked through is to use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature of the chicken should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

Conclusion:

Chicken shoestring is a quick and easy meal that's perfect for a weeknight dinner. It's also a great way to use up leftover chicken. The crispy shoestring potatoes and flavorful marinade make this dish a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy chicken recipe, give chicken shoestring a try.
