Tips:

  • Choose ripe guavas: The riper the guavas, the sweeter and more flavorful the glaze will be. Look for guavas that are deep pink or red in color and have a slightly soft texture.
  • Use fresh lime juice: Fresh lime juice adds a bright, citrusy flavor to the glaze. If you don't have fresh lime juice, you can use bottled lime juice, but the flavor will be less pronounced.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Overcooked chicken will be dry and tough. Cook the chicken until it is just cooked through, about 8 minutes per side for boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
  • Glaze the chicken frequently: Baste the chicken with the guava butter glaze every few minutes while it is cooking. This will help to keep the chicken moist and flavorful.
  • Serve the chicken immediately: Chicken with guava butter glaze is best served immediately after it is cooked. The glaze will thicken as it cools, so if you need to make the chicken ahead of time, reheat it gently over low heat until the glaze is melted and bubbly.

Conclusion:

Chicken with guava butter glaze is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The sweet and tangy glaze adds a unique flavor to the chicken, and the chicken is cooked to perfection. This dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
